Statement of Faith

  1. SCRIPTURE –We Believe  the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired word of God.  It is the only infallible authoritative Word of God.   2 Tim 3:16,  Galatians 1:8

  2. DIVINITY –   We Believe  God is the creator of all things, is all powerful, all-knowing, and sovereign to do as He wills.   Jer 32:17,  Psalms 24:1, 1 Samuel 2:6-9

  3. TRINITY –   We Believe there is only one true God and He is the eternal triune God who reveals Himself to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, with distinct attributes but without division of nature, essence, or being.   Matthew 28:19, John 4:24
  4. SALVATION –   We Believe salvation has been provided to all men through the atoning blood of Jesus.  We are saved by grace through faith, apart from works.  Anyone who repents and believes in Him is born again and becomes a child of God and receives the gift of eternal life.    Titus 3:4-7

  5.  VIRGIN BIRTH –   We Believe that Jesus was literally conceived and born as flesh and blood of a virgin who was named Mary.   Isaiah 7:14,  Luke 1:26-33

  6. SIN –   We Believe by his own free choice man sinned against God and brought sin into the world.  Because of that sin man is in need of Jesus Christ as his Savior and Redeemer.   1 Corinthians 6:9-11,  Romans 3:23

  7. HOLY SPIRIT –   We Believe that empowerment for service comes from the filing of the Holy Spirit. 1 Peter 2:22,   1 John 3:5

  8. BAPTISM – We Believe in water baptism as a testimony of faith and obedience to Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38-41

  9. ETERNITY – We Believe that those who die rejecting God’s grace will die and spend eternity in a literal place called hell.  Those who die having received eternal salvation and claim Christ as their Savior will inherit eternal life in heaven.   Matthew 25:46, Psalms 9:17, John 3:16,  2 Timothy 2:10

  10. COMMUNION – We Believe in the observance of communion (the bread and the cup) as a means to remember our Lord.   Luke 22:19,  1 Corinthians 11:24

  11. SERVICE – We Believe all ministers of Christ should lead by His example of a servant and never use his leadership role for self-gain. We recognize Christ is the head of the church and He alone should govern it.   John 13:3-16,  Philippians 2:3-8

  12. RESURRECTION –   We Believe in the Return of Christ for His church when He will gather His people together to Him both living and dead.   Matthew 24:30-36, John 14:1-3, 1 Corinthians 15:21-23
