The need for clean water is very much a crisis in many parts of the world. The World Health Organization estimates that more than 6,000 people worldwide die each day from drinking contaminated water, and many more live unhealthy lives because of it. Many areas have very little water at all, and wells need to be dug to provide it.
Often the wells that provide water are contaminated too, and that water needs to be filtered. Samaritan’s Global Outreach is working in many countries to help provide clean water, installing water filters that can produce as much as 50,000 gallons of clean water per day.
When the Clean Water Project provides a community with clean water, we are also able to share the gospel of Jesus Christ — and many are coming to know Christ as their Lord and Savior.
